A short book review

I had the opportunity to read Dr.Izzeldin Abuelaish's book called "I SHALL NOT HATE" which I borrowed from the library.  It not only was well written but also brought home what life in the refugee camps in Palestine is like.

It is not one sided and the whole aim of this book, in my opinion, is to bring peace and harmony so that both the Israeli's and the Palestinians may get to know each other, not as the enemy but as human beings with very similar ideas and ways of living.

There were many times I was in tears in this book, feeling the pain and the intense sorrow and yet, this  physician/writer maintained his faith in God and continued to treat people with respect.

He chooses life and love over hate and revenge.

In memory of his deceased daughters and niece, he has started a foundation to empower and enable girls and women in the Middle East to advance in education.

A hard read, not in how it is written, but to learn the facts of life that so many people have to live under on a daily basis.

Something to think about
